Who we are

Reach for Change is a global non-profit founded in Sweden. Our vision is a world where all children and youth reach their full potential. We are working towards this vision by finding local social entrepreneurs and empowering them to develop and scale innovative solutions that improve the lives of children and youth. We were co-founded by successful entrepreneurs in the non-profit and business sectors in 2010, and since then we have supported more than 2,000 direct beneficiaries in 18 countries across three continents. We run development programs for social entrepreneurs that are tailored to their specific developmental stage. The social entrepreneurs are supported in scaling their innovations through capacity development, network connections and funding, all in partnership with multiple sectors. Read more about us at

What we can offer

An exciting and educational internship through which you experience an international working environment as part of a results-driven, smart, brave and passionate team. During your internship, you will gain insight into how a global non-profit organization is structured and works in practice. Being part of Team Sweden, you will learn about how we work with our strategy to democratize social innovation and be part of the programs we run to support local social entrepreneurs in Sweden. With the necessary support, you will be given the opportunity to take ownership of your own tasks and projects and gain practical experience in project management and self-leadership. We highly value our interns for their skills and the energy they bring to our team and offer a great opportunity for you to gain confidence and develop your workplace skills.

During your internship

You will be working directly with Team Sweden providing support with different and engaging day-to-day tasks, often in cooperation with other team members located in Sweden and across the globe. Your role will include a mix of administrative tasks and direct involvement in the programs we run. You will get hands-on experience with a number of different tasks supporting our social entrepreneurs, helping our team to run programs and making sure processes are as smooth and efficient as possible. Specific tasks will be based on your skills and your goals, and can include planning workshops, running events and working with the ongoing projects within the program.

A typical working day is between 9 and 17, but working hours are flexible and within reason can be done remotely. Minimum every other week you will have a check-in with your supervisor, where your work tasks and development will be followed up on.

Who you are

Passionate: Have a strong passion when it comes to the end goal of improving the world for children and youth, and are interested in working in a remote and international, pragmatic, business-savvy and results-driven team.

Brave: As a person, you are brave, thorough, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You don’t hesitate to take initiative, are proactive, and enjoy having varied tasks and projects. You don't hesitate to ask questions, learn, be curious and would rather fail than do nothing.

Smart: You care about the quality of your work and you have an entrepreneurial, problem-solving, go-getter mindset. You are also confident in utilizing standard IT tools for day-to-day tasks and communication - especially Google Suite.

Competencies and skills we are looking for: Good proficiency in Swedish and English is a requirement. Knowledge about or experience from business development and social entrepreneurship is an advantage.

Global goals

At Reach for Change, we have a specific focus on no youth and child poverty, reducing inequality of opportunity and climate engagement and resilience. However, the social entrepreneurs we are supporting through our incubator program represent a diverse portfolio and focus on various of the global goals. Thereby you will be able to get an insight in various ways of approaching and actively work with Agenda 2030 through social entrepreneurship.
