WHAT TO EXPECT

Jaguar Land Rover are developing state of the art automated driving systems for worldwide deployment. As part of Jaguar Land Rover’s ADAS development team, your task will be to support the development of the future ADAS system generation, which will see our vehicles progressing to full autonomous driving, referred to as an L4+ autonomous driving system, by 2030. In order to fulfil this vision, JLR is working on specific Level 2 & Level 3 software functionalities developments that aim to build in house software modules in order to maximise components reusability and robustness in the future landscape of autonomous driving.
As an On-Board Software Architect/Developer, you will be the Engineer responsible for delivering design, development, implementation of ADAS Base software for safety critical Driver Assistance Domain Controller & Chassis Control Module into vehicle programmes. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include development of Base Software function, integration, validation and delivery of the base software. You will also ensure the content is properly specified, the supplier delivers against this specification and that the delivered system is fully verified for inclusion on a vehicle program, meeting the programme requirements for quality, cost and time.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

The role looks at all aspects of the V-Model –based life cycle regarding SW artefacts, requirement cascade, validation, and verification. Your role will involve the following responsibilities.To excel as an On-Board Software Architect/Developer you will support the planning, co-ordination, delivery, and reporting of requirements to support the delivery of low level/basic software from internal JLR teams and supplier, using Product Creation Delivery System (PCDS) principles in conjunction with other company processes /tools as required.
You will take responsibility for delivering the low level/basic software of safety critical /ASIL rated commodity on time with appropriate quality and at the right cost. Whilst undertaking a variety of tasks and be able to work in a multiple disciplinary team, to mentor SW engineers and to clearly communicate findings through presentations and reporting
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
You will be expected to understand complex user requirements and decompose them into functional, system, and detailed software requirements and architecture. You will write work packages and detailed technical work based on the user requirements, identifying and recording technical risks and assumptions made in the software development life cycle

Essential:

Proven extensive technical knowledge and experience in Automotive ECU’s Basic software (BSW) design
Experience in the Hypervisors and integration of the middleware for the complete ADAS Software in Linux/QNX environment E.g., Ubuntu
Experience in the use of Adaptive & Classic AUTOSAR basic software including configuration and testing (preferably in the use of the Electrobit AUTOSAR BSW).
Desirable:
Experience in project development based on high performance computing (HPC) like Nvidia ADAS platform
Experience of building and managing multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments.
