The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking for its Secretariat General (SG) - Group Strategy Department (GS) - Institutional Representation Division (IRD) at the EIB Group Office in Stockholm: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 01st September / October 2022)

Objective of the traineeship

You will be expected, under guidance, to assist in the execution of EIB Group's contribution to the Sweden's EU Presidency 2023, including an EIB Board of Directors meeting in Stockholm. You will support internal and external tasks related to various meetings, seminars, EIB sponsored events and presentations. You will also support various other tasks that contributes to the work of EIB Stockholm Office, in particular with EIB Group's visibility towards Swedish Universities.


Your main tasks will be to:

  • Assist in coordination and arrangement of meetings and events;
  • Perform research and gather information;
  • Prepare an action list of issues to be carried out with deadlines;
  • Prepare briefings and presentations;
  • Attend internal and external meetings.

Academic qualifications and professional skills

  • Final year of studies or University degree (at least Bachelor degree) in Economics, Finance, Business Management, European Studies, Administration, Communication, Engineering and/or IT;
  • Experience of studies undertaken in Sweden would be an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Excel and Word.
