POSITION OVERVIEW
Light Reaction is actively seeking a Global Innovation & Training Director to build up, maintain thought leadership in the areas of mobile, and display programmatic performance marketing across 25+ Light Reaction markets. The successful candidate will be an expert in the digital arena and its innovations and will also be able to create original trainings and collateral to communicate key concepts to employees, executives and clients. Training and consulting span the areas digital and especially mobile innovations, technologies, products and platforms (in general as well as focused on Light Reaction). The ideal candidate is hungry for innovation and will contribute to making Light Reaction an innovation leader through evaluating trends and innovations relevant for the business.
Light Reaction is a globally leading mobile-first performance marketing company and is part of Xaxis and GroupM. As Innovation & Training Director, you will be part of the Global Business Operations team and will directly report into the Vice President Global Business Operations.
At Light Reaction, you will collaborate with a group of quick-witted, humorous, and extremely dedicated coworkers and clients who are all passionate about digital media. Responsibilities

  • Be the subject matter expert for cutting-edge innovations in the digital and especially mobile space for Light Reaction
  • Business intelligence: scanning the market for relevant trends and innovations and evaluating their business potential for Light Reaction
  • Building up and maintaining a competitor analysis
  • Actively work on Light Reaction’s positioning as a thought leader through communication at industry events, providing publications (e.g. white papers, articles)
  • Build up and manage programs (e.g. internal exchange internships, workshop events) to create a global culture and community based on defined Light Reaction values
  • Train Light Reaction teams, agency client teams and, where relevant, clients direct about Light Reaction, the programmatic ecosystem and digital media concepts relevant to and associated with Light Reaction in an original and creative way
  • Responsible for all training areas, e.g. market launches, new starters, implementation of new technologies and products
  • Success will be defined as positive feedback from agencies and Light Reaction teams that core concepts are understood and that their application is having a positive effect resulting in increased use and uptake of Light Reaction products
  • Liaison with global training and marketing teams across Xaxis and GroupM
  • Management of Xaxis E-Academy platform including updates and content management and agency uptake

Qualifications

  • Expert and thought leader in the areas mobile / performance / technology / digital media
  • Proven creativity and out of the box thinking
  • Experience working with e-learning platforms
  • Entrepreneurialism and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced deadline driven environment
  • Work experience in carrying out trainings on complex technology and business concepts to a variety of audiences, and the ability to translate complex and detailed information in a simplified and understandable manner
  • Ability to distill complex ideas and processes into tangible tasks and execute on these tasks
  • Work Experience (2-3 years) in digital marketing, media planning or an equivalent similar area
  • Fluent Business English, plus any other languages would be great
  • Intercultural understanding
  • Experience in working in a global organization / environment
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a relevant area
